One of volunteer force has had to leave us today, Eleanor is off to the Royal Veterinary College in London training to be a vet. We at Springbridge wish her the very best and thank-you for all your help. Here we all are giving her a special send off by eating cake and drinking pimms, lovely.
Today we had a visit from thirty+ members of the Athestone Pony Club who were undertaking their BDS Carriage Driving Badge. Completing a number of tasks - harnessing up, putting to, rein handling, horses teeth etc etc and everyone had a drive. They all had a good time.
In my opinion Springbridge is a very inspirational place to be apart of whether you are a volunteer, visitor or carer you are still classed as part of the team. And whether you want to be fully involved in the action or just sit back and enjoyed the relaxing experience, Springbridge will try their up most to give you the best experience possible Springbridge changes people's live's they give 110% into making your experience personal to you.
They never fail to please whether it's your first time or your 50th time the experience just gets better. Apart from Linda, Jane and the rest of the volunteers the horses are such an amazing part of the team with their loving, kind and gentle nature they bring a very special atmosphere. The bond you see between visitors and the horses is heart warming, which makes this experience even better. From my opinion I fully recommend you get involved as you really will be missing out, it has by far changed my life so I put full trust in that It will change yours and I owe that all to Linda, Jane and the team. Grace Broughton with Liam Brennan raised £200 pounds for springbridge well done grace on you first marathon
At last we have commenced the construction of the new outdoor ménage 27th November. The photos show the digging out of the site and the installation of the new drainage system. At times the weather has not been very favourable but we are making good progress. Further updates and progress reports to follow.
Este Van Heerden has ran the Brighton Marathon for the 3rd time for Springbridge - To date she has raised a massive £1198.00 for us! Thanks again Este from all of us at Springbridge.
We have a new recruit to the gang here at Springbridge, her name is Masie, she is a 15hh, 13 year old, Welsh Section D, mare. She has been with us for 4 years now, but only recently has she been passed and drafted in to help her teammates complete the RDA work.
Today (25/06/2014) was Masie's Maiden Voyage, she coped with everything impeccably, not putting a foot wrong all day. Written by Alice Lockett |
